Kenny Abdulsalam’s life changed drastically at the age of 14 when he was forced to leave his home and face a harsh reality: living in an abandoned school building. Every day was a struggle for survival, searching for food in dumpsters and dealing with a profound sense of hopelessness. However, amidst this darkness, a spark of compassion was born within him, leading him to dream of a better future for those who, like him, felt forgotten.

Years later, Kenny shared his story with his wife. Together, they realized that their painful experiences could be transformed into a meaningful purpose. Through prayer and reflection, they found inspiration in the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-36, which reminded them of the importance of caring for the most needy. This moment of revelation became the catalyst for creating Compassionate Wings of Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing love, shelter, and hope to those who need it most.

Compassionate Wings of Hope is committed to carrying out a mission of love and service. Through food assistance, housing, and mentoring programs, the organization seeks to be a beacon of light in the lives of those facing adversity. Kenny, with his own experience of having been forgotten, has a unique perspective that drives his work: “I know what it’s like to be hungry, scared, and forgotten, but I also know what it’s like to see light in the darkness.”

Kenny’s story is not only a testament to resilience but also a call to action. The invitation is open to everyone to join this mission. Every donation, every hour of volunteering, and every effort to share the cause can make a difference in the life of someone who feels alone. Compassionate Wings of Hope is here to remind everyone that they are not alone and that there is always hope.

In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, Compassionate Wings of Hope International Foundation Inc., an arm of Jesus Calls Outreach Ministries Inc., visited Greater Days Foundation Akure on 23rd December, 2024, to donate various essential items to the orphanage.

The foundation, founded by Bishop Kenny and Reverend Loutrecia Abdulsalam from the USA, provided food items and other useful products worth thousands of naira to support the development and well-being of the children.

The Nigeria Coordinator of the foundation, Mr. Dapo Adebayo, expressed satisfaction with the event’s success and pledged to continue supporting the orphanage in the future.

The Director of Greater Days Foundation Akure, Mr. Idowu Akinmola, was overwhelmed with gratitude towards Compassionate Wings of Hope International Foundation Inc. for choosing their orphanage as a beneficiary of their kindness.

He thanked the founders, Bishop Kenny and Reverend Loutrecia Abdulsalam, and looked forward to future collaborations.

Mr. Dapo Adebayo assured the management of Greater Days Foundation Akure that they could count on the foundation’s support for any assistance the children might need in the future.

The host community was delighted to have the team members of Compassionate Wings of Hope International Foundation Inc. among them, and the event was a testament to the foundation’s mission of empowering lives, igniting hope, and transforming the future.
